2W28 Combining the studies

Posted in MADA Assessment 02, Video For Portraiture, Wii Interaction on March 10, 2008 by nalm

Phrases taking from the book ‘Francis Bacon Portraits and Heads’

‘The triptych form allow Bacon to show different aspects of the same face or to contrast images of three different people (including, sometime, himself).”

“Portraying three contrasting views of the same subject may also indicate a conception of human identity as fluctuating and relative.”

i have decided to unite all the studies in one piece

1W14 Mosh interview study

Mosh helped me with my interview studies by posing for me and letting me ask him annoying questions. Thank you Mosh for that! This is another video interview study. I got inspired by the short discussion about light, privacy and photography and i created this composition.

This is the funny part of being a digital artist. Visual creations made only with video composition techniques and based on the element i love so much… sound! This edit of an old footage of video clips i had in my library, apart giving me great time and pleasure fixing it up, is another study on the ambiguous relationship of sound and image.

1W10 Niki interview study

Posted in MADA Assessment, Video For Portraiture on November 8, 2007 by nalm

An interview study based on the image and only. No sound, i repeat no sound. Sound is SO much important for me as a person and my work. I should work some projects without sound at all, just to investigate better the image. Here in this clip Niki poses in front of me and acts. Face expressions and emotions are factors that describe that study. Thank you Niki.
